London to follow in Paris’ non-diesel footsteps

Campaigners are warning London that an outright ban on diesel, already in place in Paris, may hit the UK.  The mayor of Paris has pledged to ban diesel cars from the French capital by 2020 due to the concerns over pollution levels.

In London, Boris Johnson (Major of London) already plans to increase the congestion charge for diesel cars by £10 in a bid to cut pollution levels, which would equate to diesel drivers having to pay £20 to get into the English Capital.

However, there has been lots of speculation regarding Major Johnson’s will to reduce pollution and congestion in London. His promise of ‘an electric car revolution’ has fallen short, along with the clean up on London buses.

We would love to know your opinions on the potential ban and pollution reduction. Get in touch below!
