Air pollution can cause significant effects to your health and sometimes you may not even know it’s happening. The aim of the National Clean Air Day is not only to reduce the amount of air pollution being generated, but also for you to find out more about air pollution and share information with others. Three aims have been identified in order to create a healthier environment and ensuring that everyone can get involved.

  • Reduce: Reduce the amount of air pollution you create
  • Talk: Talk and join forces to beat pollution together
  • Avoid: Avoid harmful air pollution

Below are just a couple of examples of how you can contribute to National Clean Air Day

  • Leave Your Car At Home:
    • By leaving your car at home you can not only cut down on the amount of pollution generated but you also get some exercise.
  • Switch Off Your Engine When Stationary:
    • Switching off the engine produces less pollution and saves you money
  • Share The School Run:
    • Why not Liftshare with some of the other mums and dads to reduce the number of vehicles on the road. This would also save you money and make it safer for children!
