- Firle Beacon Circular – staring point at South Downs National Park, 14.6km (approx. 4 hours 4 minutes)
- Friston Forest, the Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Haven – starting point at Friston Forest, 31.1km (approx. 7 hours 8 minutes)
Local Walking Groups

Cycle Seahaven are an inclusive social cycling club based in the Seahaven area of East Sussex (Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven). Regular rides occur every week for people of all skills levels of experience. The aim of the club is to simply get people out on their bike to enjoy the experience and meet new people. Newhaven Cycle Network route 2 runs in the vicinity of your new home through Newhaven, connecting cyclists across the entire south coast.
Halfords Newhaven is your local bike shop and is accessible via the 12 and 14 bus services which stop directly outside The Drove Retail Park where Halfords is located.

Travel by Bus

Regular bus services provide August Fields with excellent links to facilities and amenities in the local and wider surrounding area, as well as to further pubic transport services. The most frequent service in the local area is the 12/12A Brighton & Hove bus service from Brighton to Eastbourne; with a service every 10 minutes Monday – Friday, and 20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. You can also catch the 14 service to Brighton and the 123 service to Lewes provided by Compass Travel.
The nearest bus stops to August Fields for services 12/12A, 14 and 123 are located on Brighton Road/A259, within a 1-minute walk from your new home.

Travel by Rail
Newhaven Town Train Station is located approximately 1.4km east of your new home at August Fields; accessible within a 17-minute walk or a 4-minute cycle – with secure, monitored cycle storage available.
From Newhaven Town Train Station, Southern Railways services run on a frequent basis to key destinations such as:
- Brighton (via Lewes) Every 30 Minutes – Platform 1
- Seaford Every 30 Minutes – Platform 2
- London Victoria (change Lewes) Every 30 Minutes – Platform 1
Car Travel Options
