Eastleigh has a fantastic range of facilities, amenities and services, however you are also not too far from both Hedge End Retail Park and Southampton City Centre if you want a change of scene.  Click here for a more detailed list of facilities and where to find them.

Rail

Eastleigh Railway Station is located approximately 1.5km (a 20 minute walk or 6 minute cycle) from you.

The station is well equipped to suit your every need, with 130 cycle storage spaces, 133 car parking spaces, customer help points and CCTV.

Eastleigh Railway Station has great access to lots of destinations including Portsmouth, Romsey, Poole and London Waterloo. This should make your commute, weekend away or day trip as easy as possible.

Buses

As the local bus network offers convenient routes to local destinations, could this be the travel mode for you? The nearest bus stops to you are situated on Leigh Road and provide services to Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford.

The X6 and X7 have resumed operation and provide connection from Eastleigh to Hiltingbury, Hedge End and Bishops Waltham. The Bluestar 2 and 5 bus services are also operating from the bus stops outside Eastleigh Train Station which are accessible via a 20 minute walk to the east of the development.

The Bluestar 2 bus services provides connection to Southampton, Winchester, Chandler’s Ford, Otterbourne, Compton and St Cross. The revised timetable for this service can be accessed here: https://www.bluestarbus.co.uk/services/BLUS/2

If you fancy getting out on your bike, cycle routes in the area make cycling an easy way to travel. The map below shows cycle routes within your area.

Cycle Routes

This handy map is found on Sustrans and is helpful in finding cycle routes in any given area. The green shows traffic free routes, whereas the purple routes are on-road. You can access this map here.

In addition, Lakeside Country Park is situated 2.8km (10 minute cycle) south of your development which provides 22 hectares of lake, meadow and woodland. A small train operates around the park providing an excellent opportunity to see the features on offer. Why not take the children for a bike ride and enjoy a picnic in the park?

Hampshire County Council: The council website provides up-to-date traffic and travel news, including planned roadworks and sporting events which may force closures to the surrounding roads.
