Your new home is located close to several facilities around Hailsham, as highlighted in the table below. From Ersham Park you can get to Hailsham Town Centre within a 24-minute walk, a 5-minute cycle or an 8-minute journey on the 1X Stagecoach bus service.

The Cuckoo Trail

The Cuckoo Trail is a 14-mile surfaced path through the Sussex countryside. The route is mostly traffic free and is a safe route for walkers and cyclists of all ages, forming part of the National Cycle Network – route 21.

The picturesque trail follows the former ‘Cuckoo Line’ railway track and stretches from Heathfield to Shinewater Park. It passes through Horam, Hailsham and Polegate. There are lots of opportunities to pick up refreshments just a short distance from the route, in addition to plenty of benches and picnic tables dotted along the route.

Enigma Bicycle Works is your local cycle store where you can get all your cycling equipment. Enigma Bicycle Works is located at 13, Apex Park, Diplocks Way, Hailsham BN27 3JU, approximately an 8 minute cycle from your home.

Want to cycle but unsure of the best routes? Want guided rides? Want to make new friends? Join The Soggy Bottoms MTB Club.

“The Soggy Bottoms” are a mountain bike group from Hailsham, East Sussex. Every Sunday they take part in group bike rides on the trails, bike parks, lanes and more. More often than not group rides takes place on the Southdowns which just happens to be on your doorstep. The views from the Southdowns are always amazing regardless of the weather. Overlooking the sea, the vineyards, country hills and valleys, It’s also home to some very special historical sites that date back 1000s of years.

The group rides are for cyclists of all levels and abilities, with both easy and harder routes available.

Polgate Train Station is located approximately 3km south of Ersham Park. To reach the station Stagecoach bus services 51, 54 and the 98 from Hailsham High Street,  can reach the station in 12 minutes

Car Sharing

Car sharing is a great way to have access to a car without owning one. You also get the opportunity to engage with people making the same journey as you in your local area. Why not try it out using your local car club providers.

Terms and Conditions

Sustainable Travel Vouchers are a gift and the offer may be amended or removed at any time.

One claim per address at Ersham Park can be made. If a claim has already been received for your address you will not be eligible to claim again. Please contact us to confirm your eligibility at travelplan@paulbashamassociates.com.

The Halfords voucher is £150 and only redeemable for purchases associated with cycling. Halfords terms and conditions and expiry date are outlined on the voucher, which will be sent via post.

The voucher is non-refundable.
