Bracklesham Grove is located within a 22-minute walk (6-minute cycle) of Cakeham Road, East Wittering which provides a more comprehensive range of facilities and amenities including a pharmacy, local supermarkets, doctor’s surgery, post office and dentist.
Don’t forget you also have a playground at Bracklesham Grove !
Travel Voucher
Each address is entitled to claim one voucher if no previous resident at the address has claimed. The voucher is worth £150. Select from:
- Bicycle related purchases at Halfords;*
- Bus Tickets from Stagecoach;**
- Contribution to a rail season ticket;***
- Cycle training from West Sussex County Council.****
If a claim has already been received for your address you will not be eligible to claim again. Walking
Walking has a number of benefits:
- Its free.
- Increasing your cardiovascular fitness
- Lowering anxiety and stress
- Boosting your energy and improving your mood
- Strengthening your bones, improving your balance and boosting your muscle power
- Environmentally friendly!
There are also a number of Public Rights of Way (PRoW) near you, with the closest along the southern tip of the site, providing a route to the seafront.

If you enjoy walking or would like to walk more often, why not join one of your local walking groups. This is a great way to find out about your local area and meet new people!

West Sussex County Council provides some easy walking trails. There are 14 easy countryside trails, with booklet which can be printed for particular routes of interest. Cycling
Bracklesham and Chichester in general benefit from a gentle topography, making it attractive for everyone to get out on their bikes, no matter your age or ability. With your home only being a 40-minute cycle from Chichester!

National Cycle Route (NCR) runs from Selsey to West Dean and NCR 2 runs from Dover all the way to Plymouth. You can join it from Chichester and then just complete a small ride to Emsworth or Havant or carry on into Portsmouth.

If you are new to cycling or want to join like-minded people, why not join a cycling group? Cycle Bognor is part of Cycling UK. They run numerous weekly rides which vary in distance. To become a member or for more information visit: https://www.cyclinguk.org/group/cycle-bognor
You can also undertake bike ability training offered by WSCC: https://schools.westsussex.gov.uk/Services/3147. Which you will have the opportunity redeem through one of the vouchers offered to you.
Bus
As the local bus network offers convenient routes to most local destinations, with frequent services, could this be the travel mode for you?
Don’t forget! The Department for Transport’s £3 bus fare scheme running until March 2027.
Why take the bus?
- The walk to and from the bus is a great way to incorporate some physical activity into your daily routine
- Relax and read a book whilst you travel to your destination
- Season tickets offer unlimited travel on services and can prove cheaper than running a car
Buses run regularly all throughout the day, so whether you need to get to work, the shops or pick up the children from school, the bus provides an alternative to the private car. With bus stops being 160m from your home.

Rail
Why take the train?
- Taking the train means you can work on the go or relax, without the stress of driving and parking.

- It can be faster than travelling by road.
Chichester Railway Station (CCH) is located 10km northwest of your home and is accessible via a 30-minute cycle or by bus routes no.52 and no.53, taking around 40 minutes. Chichester Railway Station has great access to lots of stations including Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton Central and Brighton. The station provides a train ramp if needed and has step free access to platforms. Chichester has 202 spaces for car parking and 180 bike storage spaces.

Bognor Regis Railway Station (BOG) is located approximately 17.7 km east of your home at Bracklesham Grove. The station is operated by Southern Railways and provides a service to Littlehampton, Brighton, London Victoria (1hr 49) and Barnham. Bognor Regis has 95 car parking spaces and 184 bike storage spaces and has step-free access.

Green Driving Tips:
