Hertford Town Centre is approximately 1.6km from The Stiles and can be reached in under 25 minutes by foot.
Did you know that Hertford welcomes walkers? The group Herts Weekend Walkers is welcoming new members and there are a umber of popular walk routes available from https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb/england/hertfordshire/walking. There is also Hertfordshire Walks & More (see https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/recycling-waste-and-environment/countryside-management/walks-and-more.aspx).
There are plenty of facilities within walking of your home including bus stops, supermarkets, nature reserves and schools.
Buses
Local bus services operate within close proximity to your new home, with the nearest bus stop located 275m south outside The Greyhound Pub. The bus service provides frequent access to Hertford and the surrounding area.

Rail
Hertford East Train Station is located approximately 1.5km south east from The Stiles and is accessible via the 333 bus service. The following direct services are available:
London Liverpool Street in 49 minutes every 30 minutes
Ware in 4 minutes every 30 minutes
Broxbourne in 16 minutes every 30 minutes
Waltham Cross in 22 minutes every 30 minutes
Hertford North Train Station is located approximately 1.5km south west from The Stiles. The following direct services are available:
Stevenage in 13 minutes every 30 minutes
London Moorgate in 52 minutes every 30 minutes
Highbury and Islington in 42 minutes every 30 minutes
The train service is cheaper if you travel during off peak periods – during weekdays or at the weekend.
Cycle
Why not give cycling a go? Hertford Cycle Hub is a non profit social enterprise dedicated to supporting cycling and active travel across the East Hertfordshire District. The Community Cycle Hub provides services such as bicycle maintenance lessons, learn to cycle classes led bike rides, bicycle hire and so much more!
