Your Local Area
Your new home at Oakfields is well located to a number of local facilities and amenities. Within a 5-minute walk from Oakfields, bus stops known as ‘Camp’ are located, providing regular services between Hereford and Kington.
The local shops and facilities within Credenhill are predominately located along Station Road, an 18 – 30-minute walk from your new home. The local school is located at the top of Station Road (18-minute walk) whereas the Community Hall is located at the bottom (30-minute walk). In between, there are a handful of local amenities including a row of shops comprising a One Stop convenience store and a couple of food takeaways. Footways beginning within Oakfields are continuous to Station Road, with various dropped kerb facilities and a signalised crossing point along the route to help create a safe walking environment.

Local Walking Routes
- Credenhill has excellent footpaths and Public Rights of Way to create attractive walking routes. One of the routes is ‘A Walk Through Time’ offering views of the Medieval Church and First World War munitions depot. - Credenhill Park Wood is part of the Woodland Trust and is located only 1.5km from your new home. There are a number of circular walks varying in length.
A wide variety of Public Rights of Way’s are located in close proximity to your home including routes to Crowmoor, Credenhill Park Wood and Stretton Sugwas.

Local Walking Groups

Local Cycle Network

Cycle Training
Herefordshire Council are offering free cycle lessons for adults with Bikeright, which is an exclusive opportunity for Herefordshire residents. These 1-to-1 cycle training sessions are tailored by professional instructors to suit your individual abilities and goals. If you don’t have a bike and still want to learn, Herefordshire Council will provide you with a bike free of charge for the duration of your training session. Beryl Bikes
Beryl Bikes is a shared bike-hire scheme that aims to encourage cycling within the local area and get more residents on bikes to travel sustainably to their local facilities, places of work/education or for leisure. Within Hereford, 145 Bikes and 75 e-Bikes are available from 72 Bays.
The closest parking bay to Oakfields is along the A480/Jellicoe Way and known as ‘RAF Hereford’, which has capacity for 5 parked bikes.

Bus Services
The closest bus stops to your new home at Oakfields are the ‘Camp’ and ‘Jellicoe Way’ bus stops which are approximately a 5-minute and 7 minute walk along the A480.

Travel by Rail
Hereford Railway (HFD) is located approximately 7km from your new home at Oakfields. Hereford Railway Station can be reached via a 19-minute bus journey on the 461/ 462 services from the ‘Camp’ bus stops, or a 25-minute cycle ride along the shared cycleway.
Hereford Railway Station is managed by Transport for Wales and benefits from a range of amenities including a ticket machine and a ticket office, sheltered cycle parking, a car park and refreshment facilities. Key destinations directly accessible from Hereford Railway Station include Ledbury, Worcester, Shrewsbury and Newport.
