Oakley offers various local amenities and facilities. These include a village shop, pharmacy, Church, a collection of pubs and restaurants, community centre, recreation grounds and active bus route. These facilities are highlighted in the Accessibility map below.

Local walking routes
With Oakley situated in a rural area it provides the perfect opportunity for some country walks including:
- Oakley-Brill-Oakley via Span Green- A 6.6km circular walk that takes approximately 90-120 minutes
- Around Oakley village- A 3.5km walk around the village of Oakley which takes approximately 45-60 minutes.

Basingstoke Ramblers Association
Why not get involved with the local walking group? Basingstoke ramblers walk regularly on Sunday and Wednesdays all year round. Distances vary from 6-10 miles. All abilities are welcome. Visit www.basingstokeramblers.org.uk for more information.

Public rights of way
The nearest public right of way (PRoW) footpath to Oakley Grange is 177/9b/1 situated right next door and connects Andover Road with Rectory Road. Additionally, footpath 177/741/2 provides access to paths heading into Basingstoke Town Centre following the railway line. There are also some bridleways which you could always cycle along! Cycle routes
There are several different cycling routes in close proximately to Oakley Grange including the national cycle network route 23 that begins in Reading and cuts straight through Basingstoke town centre. The route has a combination of quiet lanes and traffic free paths making it safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Similarly, there is multiple Mountain bike routes and local cycleways perfect to use when exploring the local countryside around Oakley. See the map below for more information on cycle ways.

Local cycle shops
Halfords Basingstoke- Based in Basingstoke Halfords is only a 9-minute drive or 22-minute cycle ride away. They have display bikes, clothing and accessories, and a free bike check to ensure your bike is safe.
Cycle Emporium– A family run business that offers a variety of bikes to fit each individual person. They also offer repairs and services too. The Shop is based in Basingstoke and is a 10-minute drive or 25-minute cycle ride away from Oakley Grange.

Travel by Bus
Your local operator is Stagecoach.
You can catch the 76 bus which is the quickest link to Basingstoke and Andover that runs every half an hour Monday to Saturday, and Sunday every 2 hours. The nearest bus stops to catch the 76 bus is Station Road bus stop located on Andover Road approximately an 11minute walk away or 3 minute cycle from Oakley Grange.
Cross Andover Road for buses into Basingstoke, and remain on the westbound side for buses to Andover.
The 76 bus takes 23 minutes into Basingstoke and also serves the railway station.
You can also catch the number 11-bus service that runs from East Oakley village centre to Basingstoke town centre via both the bus and train station. The service is run by also Stagecoach and runs every hour from 7am-7pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday every 2 hours from 10.15-16.15.
From Oakley Grange the nearest bus stop for the 11 is Croft Road bus stop located on Oakley Lane. You can access this bus stop via some of the new pedestrian footpaths provided as part of this development.

Taking the bus into towns like Basingstoke and Andover is a great alternative to driving for a variety of reasons including:

Travel by Rail
The nearest station to Oakley Grange is Basingstoke (BSK) station. The station is approximately a 12-minute drive, 24-minute bus ride (via the 76 bus) or a 27-minute cycle ride away and also has secure cycling storage available for up to 170 bikes.
Services from Basingstoke station include trains to London Waterloo, Reading and Southampton Central. CrossCountry services also serve Basingstoke connecting it to Manchester, Bournemouth and Birmingham. Visit www.southwesternrailway.com/ to check specific times and prices.
