Your Local Area
The map below highlights the major amenities and points of interest that can be found in the surrounding area, close to your home at Saxon Corner.

Your home is close to both Emsworth Town Centre and Havant Town Centre. You can reach either place within less than a 30 minute walk or 10 minute cycle! Or the number 700 Coastliner Stagecoach bus route will take you there too (Further information provided below)!

Local Walking Routes
There are many walking routes near your home. Emsworth walks (www.emsworthwalks.org/thewalks ) provides lots of information on a variety of walks around Emsworth. There are a number of walks provided for different walking abilities, with information for people who use wheelchairs too.
Check out walking route number 5 on their website – The Langstone and Havant walk which passes right past your home on Havant Road!
Local Walking Groups
South East Hants Group
South East Hants Group is a walking group based in Hampshire providing group walks around the local area to locations such as Hayling Island and Chichester. They organise around 300 walks per year providing a great way to meet people and be active.
Routes include coastal, woodland, heath and downland walks, with great views of the spectacular countryside and delightful settlements in the area. They cater for a wide range of walking abilities, from leisurely walks to more strenuous hikes.
Not only can you improve your health, but it is also a great way to make friends, with the group hosting a number of social events, including a coach trip each year! A great way to make friends and stay active.

Ramblers Wellbeing Walks Havant
Wellbeing Walks Havant are coordinated by Havant Borough Council and delivered by a network of trained volunteers, offering a range of walking groups for all fitness levels. Walks are all free and take advantage of the beautiful areas in the borough.

Did you know National Cycle Network (NCN) route 2 is right on your doorstep? Following the cycle path on Havant Road, NCN route 2 runs from Chichester, through Emsworth and Havant, and continues further southwest to Hayling Island. This route then runs from the south of Hayling Island across to Portsmouth to the west and then further northwest onto Southampton, running primarily along the sea front.

NCN route 22 is also in close proximity of your home and travels from Guildford to Petersfield, then continues further south to Havant and southwest to the Isle of Wight.

Travel by Bus
Travelling by bus helps lower carbon emissions in your area and your cost of fuel, so why not try taking the bus next time your travelling within your local area!
Why take the bus?
- The walk to and from the bus is a great way to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine
- Relax and read a book whilst you travel to your destination
- Season tickets offer unlimited travel on services and can prove cheaper than running a car
The closest bus stop (Selangor Avenue) to your new home is located on Havant Road and is only a 2 minute walk away! The Selangor Avenue bus stop is operated by Stagecoach and provides access to the Stagecoach 700 Coastliner bus service.
The 700 Coastliner bus service stops at Portsmouth, Emsworth, Havant, Chichester, Bognor Regis and Flansham Park and operates every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 40 minutes on a Sunday from Selangor Avenue bus stop.

£3 Bus Fares
Great News! The Department for Transport’s bus fare cap scheme has been extended and Stagecoach is taking part! However, the fare has increased from £2. A single adult fare will now cost £3* (*subject to change) during the bus fare scheme.

Travel by Rail
The Stagecoach 700 Coastliner service provides access to Emsworth, Havant and Bedhampton Railway Stations. The stations are primarily served by Southern and South Western Rail and operate direct rail services to Brighton, Portsmouth, Southampton, Littlehampton, Gatwick Airport, and London Victoria.
You can also walk to Warblington station (around 20 minutes). Warblington has an hourly service to Portsmouth Harbour and an hourly service to Chichester, Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.

Car Sharing
Car sharing is a great way to cut down your car use and connect with your friends, family, and other members of your community. Car sharing is accessible to all and can be done whether you are travelling to work with colleagues or parents to your child’s school, or even with friends to go shopping.
