The Government has announced a new legislation that will mean that electric taxis will be exempt from higher tax rates as the UK moves towards net zero. This announcement is the next step in the government’s ambition to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 by reducing costs for taxi drivers and companies who purchase zero-emission capable taxis over conventional petrol or diesel models.
